Before launch, we conducted moderated usability sessions and task-time measurements with a pilot group of Swiss users (mix of freelancers, micro-SMEs, and everyday banking users).
Key Outcomes
💸 50% faster invoice payment.
Payments were completed in half the time compared to the manual flow, thanks to data extraction through scanning and automatic field population
Notable drop in payment errors. Removing manual typing significantly reduced user mistakes
Clear shift toward digital organisation
📣 7 out of 10 participants said DocuHub would fully or partially replace their physical folders for tax and invoice management.
High perceived value for SMEs. Especially for tax preparation, consolidating business documents, and receiving official Swiss letters in one digital place.
Impact on the ProductThese findings validated the product direction, strengthened the SME expansion business case, and directly informed the launch-ready feature set.
Contributions
Led the full design process from discovery and flows to high-fidelity interactions, prototyping, and usability validation
Shaped the product strategy and long-term experience vision for Docuhub
Introduced new components into Radicant’s design system
Drove cross-functional alignment, presenting insights and decisions to product, engineering, and compliance at All Hands and demo sessions.

Docuhub auto-extracts all invoice data, reducing manual input, errors, and decision fatigue while still giving users full control to edit any field if something is missing or incorrect. Users can review, adjust, schedule, or pay instantly, and each payment is automatically linked back to the document for clean bookkeeping. This flow alone cut payment time by ~50% in pilot testing.

Search and filters make it easy to pull up the right invoice, tax letter, or contract in seconds. Type a keyword, choose a tag, or filter by due dates. It’s designed for real daily use: quick checks during tax prep, sorting through monthly paperwork, or finding that one document you uploaded weeks ago. Clear, fast, and stress-free.

DocuHub wasn’t just another feature. It changed how the bank showed up for people. Not just for their transactions, but for the everyday admin that quietly keeps their businesses running.
The early signs were genuinely encouraging: faster payments, smoother uploads, and a clear “this makes my life easier” moment for freelancers and SMEs. Although the company decided to wind down banking operations before we could collect long-term data; the strategy, user feedback, and pilot results all pointed in the same direction: this was a real problem worth solving.
For me, it was a reminder that design has the power to move the business forward. By simplifying Swiss SMEs’ admin and tying documents directly to payments, we weren’t just fixing friction - we were opening the door for the bank to play a more meaningful role in a new market.
